Here at Hilltop Electric, we’ve encountered a lot of questions in our 40+ years of experience. More importantly, we’ve found a lot of answers. We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions with our tried and true answers. If you don’t see the answer to your question here, give us a call! We’re happy to help.

Whenever you have any electrical concerns or needs that need to be addressed. Also, when your entire home is without electricity and you are the only home in your neighborhood without electricity.

We would say split or frayed wires, any outlets or switches that are sparking, if ½ your house is without power and the other ½ seems to have power.

Unfortunately, the homeowner cannot know this, the electrician needs to walk through with the homeowner and go over everything the homeowner wants to have in the home before knowing what size electrical system the home will need.

 Yes, we do provide free estimates.

 First and foremost for safety and security on your property. It will also enhance your home's curb appeal and landscaping.

It is not necessary to replace the aluminum wiring unless you are having issues throughout your home.

Upgrading your electrical systems alone will not lower your bill, but the use of energy efficient LED bulbs and other efforts will help lower your bill.

Yes, but that depends on the size of the job, if you are a repeat customer and if you have referred customers that we have done jobs for.

The length of an estimate depends on the job, an estimate can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the scope of the job. Larger jobs may require 24-72 hours for time to look over plans and work up pricing.
