John Barnette started Hilltop Electric Company back in 1979 because he wanted to provide a better life for his family. John built up clients with several home and custom builders in the surrounding area. Many of those builders still work with Hilltop Electric to this day. The company continued to expand and John’s wife Sue began managing the office. Soon their son, Jason, began working weekends and summers to learn the trade. After graduating high school and receiving his certifications from a tech school, Jason began working full time for his family’s company. He tested for and was awarded his Master Electrician license with over seven years of experience. Each year Jason takes at least one course to continue his education and maintain his license and certifications.
WE PROVIDE
In 2008 John passed away, leaving the business to Sue as the owner. Jason began learning the day-to-day process in order to eventually take over for Sue. After some time of learning, Sue transferred the family company down to Jason and his wife, Emily. The pair have been running Hilltop Electric for over 9 years now, along with several employees who have stayed on with the company since being hired by John up to 20 years ago.
